Reading is how I learn. It’s how I educate myself. I admit I saw this book after reading THUG and didn’t want to read it because I honestly don’t read much YA. As white woman I am working to educate myself more. With all that is going on I wanted to read this. I am just ashamed it took me this long.
This book had my nerves set on edge like a horror novel would. This is a reality though. I could go on and on about how powerful this book is, but I am just here in hopes that this book is one day (soon) a mandatory read for all middle school or high schoolers.
