My Lovely Wife
|I was so ready to rate this below 4 stars because, well we’ll get to that in a minute. When I saw the line Dexter meets Mr. and Mrs. Smith I was like, “Game on”.
Dexter is one of my favorite shows ever and my husband and I even walked down the aisle as newlyweds to the Dexter theme song. So, of course, I had to get my hands on this book. This book was honestly like the series in a way. So good, a little bad, got good again (Trinity season 4 I’m looking at you, then the ending was like…wait what?
I loved how evil everyone was and I honestly didn’t trust anyone, and even thought one or both of the kids was behind the recent murders. But here is where I started to lose my interest. I could tell where everything was going and the ending felt so rushed not to mention unbelievable.
This is going to be a talked about book for sure and if this is truly a debut, then wow. Despite the quick ending, I enjoyed the rest of the book and it was so twisty. Even though a lot was unbelievable, it was like a Lifetime movie. So bad and so good at the same time.
